The Sounds of My ‘Hood

Listen to my Reporter’s Notebook about the street vendors in my neighborhood and the sounds they make. This isn’t even all of them. I could have added the knife sharpener’s kazoo and the junk buyer’s megaphone, but I didn’t happen to catch them with my recorder. To capture many of these, I had to grab my equipment as soon as I heard the sound drift through my apartment window, run downstairs, perk up my ears, and sprint down the street ‘til I found the guy.
