Life in Mexico’s SimCity

My recent feature on the first Rural Sustainable City in Mexico. The idea is to round up poor villages and move them into one community together, providing them with all the services of a city, completely free of charge. Nuevo Juan del Grijalva has everything you could possibly need. It’s supposed to be the antidote to population dispersion and help Mexico achieve the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. But some people who live there are having a hard time getting used to it.
